Is the theatre open?
Our Box Office is open Monday to Saturday 10am until 6pm for phone and counter sales.On performance days the counter will remain open until the shows have begun.
On Sundays and Bank Holidays, the Box Office opens one hour before the show. Box Office 0114 249 6000
How do I book tickets for future shows?
Tickets can be purchased at the Crucible in person, over the telephone (opening times listed above) and online 24 hours a day. If you haven't booked online before, check out our guide to booking online.
What happens if I book an event that is cancelled?
In the event a show being cancelled, you will be offered a full refund, credit or transfer to another performance of the show (if possible).
What happens if I can't attend due to ill health?
If you or a member of your party are unwell and unable to attend a performance, please let the Box Office know in advance of the show by calling 0114 249 6000 (lines opens 10am until 6pm) or emailing supervisors@sheffieldtheatres.co.uk and we will be happy to offer an exchange for another performance in the same production or a credit voucher if the show is in the final few days.
What safety measures do you have in place when the theatre is open?

Does my baby need their own ticket, or can they sit on my knee?
A child up to the age of two is classed as a babe in arms, so can sit on your knee without an additional ticket. Once a child reaches two years old they need a ticket of their own.
Is there an age limit for shows?
Some shows have an age guidance, for your discretion, which is displayed on the event page. If a show has adult themes, more information can be found on our trigger information page.
I lost something at the theatre, how do I get in touch with Lost Property?

Can I buy food and drink at the theatre?
Yes, Crucible Kitchen is our cosy and modern café bar located in the lower foyer of the Crucible, open Monday – Saturday, 10am – 4pm and before evening performances.
Whether you’re here for a matinee or just passing by, enjoy a selection of homemade soups, salads, and sandwiches, alongside tasty treats and freshly-made coffee.
During the evening, Crucible Kitchen transforms into a fabulous theatre bar, serving audiences before performances in the Crucible and Playhouse.
Can I bring my dog?
We ask that you leave pets at home, unless they are trained service animals such as guide dogs and hearing assistance dogs.
