Abby Russell is a queer, working class writer, actor, and comedian from Sheffield. She believes that to inspire, educate, and empower with theatre, you must entertain people first. At the heart of Abby’s work is humour; she uses comedy to tackle big conversations with compassion.

Abby recently finished writing the first draft of her play Gush with Soho Theatre Writers Lab which she premiered as a sell-out show at the Camden People's Theatre in May. Abby also performs her writing on the queer cabaret circuit, regularly featured in idiots. gay idiots.
