Over the last few months Stockroom have travelled around the country telling the stories of freelancers over the last year. Here is the film they made with us, featuring Nadia Emam and written by Georgia Crowther.
An estimated 71% of the theatre work force are freelancers, during the pandemic they have been the hardest hit financially and culturally. We lost approximately 38,000 of our freelance colleagues from the sector in 2020, but those that remained have been doing incredible things.
The brilliant Stockroom are telling these stories across the country and over the next two weeks, buildings will be releasing their films. Produced by Tom Ryalls for Stockroom and made by filmmakers The Other Richard.
On Friday 9 July we’re passing the project over to Bristol Old Vic to share their video.
