December has seen the return of the critically acclaimed musical Standing at the Sky's Edge to the Crucible. To celebrate, new corporate partners Henderson’s Relish and Sheffield Property Association (S-PA) support us in the opening of the show.
Henderson’s Relish have produced a limited-edition bottle to support fundraising for Sheffield Theatres. The sauce is available to purchase from the Crucible throughout the run of the show.
Sheffield’s well-loved Henderson’s Relish features in the production, which is set in Park Hill flats in the city centre. Profits from the sale of the limited-edition bottle will be donated to support the development of an arts and creative offer for young people within the Park and Manor communities.
The limited-edition Henderson’s bottles are priced at £3 each and will be available to buy from 15 December at the Crucible and online at www.hendersonsrelish.com.
Sheffield Theatres’ Fundraising and Commercial Director, Liz Barran, said:
“It’s wonderful to be working with an amazing company like Henderson’s Relish. Both Sheffield Theatres and Henderson’s are iconic to Sheffield, with both having a passion for supporting their city. This partnership seemed a natural fit. Working together on this collaborative project supports Sheffield Theatres as we continue to stage world class productions, celebrates the return of Standing at the Sky’s Edge, and raises funds for local arts and creative projects. We are thrilled to be working together.”
Henderson’s Relish General Manager, Matt Davies, said:
“We’ve been waiting and waiting for Standing at the Sky’s Edge to return to Sheffield. We’re so excited to be ‘opening up the door’ to this wonderful production. We will donate all profits from the sale of this limited-edition bottle to the Crucible to support arts and creative opportunities in the city”.
We also are pleased to begin a new corporate partnership with Sheffield Property Association (S-PA), to coincide with the opening of Standing at the Sky’s Edge.
Sheffield Property Association have previously supported the annual Fundraising Gala at Sheffield Theatres, sponsoring the event in both 2018 and 2020, and they are now pleased to support us by celebrating our award-winning production.
S-PA Chair, Martin McKervey, said:
“The Sheffield Property Association is hugely excited about our new partnership with Sheffield Theatres. The partnership will focus on the importance of culture to our great city and the wider region and the important role culture has in enabling us to create vibrant places and communities, defined by inclusion and diversity. We are proud of the work we do and the contribution we make to the important work of the Sheffield Culture Collective, working with Sheffield City Council, our two world class Universities, the NHS and the Sheffield Culture Consortium in driving forward the new Culture Strategy for Sheffield. This exciting new partnership with Sheffield Theatres very much builds on that.”
Fundraising and Commercial Director for Sheffield Theatres, Elizabeth Barran, said:
“It’s wonderful to be working with an organisation that has such a big part to play in Sheffield’s corporate and property sector. This partnership supports Sheffield Theatres as we continue to stage world class shows into 2023, and we look forward to working together over the coming year.”
