Brand new touring productions will be taking to the Lyceum stage, and the Playhouse in 2025, including ballet, opera and live music, plus comedy, drama and favourites for younger audiences.

International phenomenon The Girl On The Train returns to Sheffield from Tuesday 4 – Saturday 8 March. Rachel Watson longs for a different life. Her only escape is the perfect couple she watches through the train window every day, happy and in love. Or so it appears. Punk Alley is about saying to kids that no matter how loud or soft their voice is, what you have to say is important. The show has BSL interpretation embedded into the performance. Inspired by a Bolivian mother, Buffy the Vampire Slayer and entertainment wrestling, Wrestle Lads Wrestle runs from Wednesday 12 - Saturday 15 February. A new live performance by acclaimed artist and choreographer Jenni Jackson, explosively combines theatre, dance, judo and pro-wrestling to transform the Playhouse into a battleground of joy and reclamation.

Mark Farrelly (Quentin Crisp: Naked Hope, Howerd's End) presents his riveting, kinetic solo show The Silence of Snow on Thursday 3 April, portraying one of the great English writers of the inter-war years. Patrick Hamilton was a dazzling success in his twenties, producing hit plays Rope (filmed by Hitchcock) and Gaslight (which gave us the modern term 'gaslighting'). But Hamilton was also an alcoholic, whose wit darkened as his inner and outer worlds collapsed.

So when the books at her owner Peter’s school have disappeared one morning, Detective Dog Nell is ready to sniff out the culprit!

Finally, in the Crucible, The World Seniors Snooker Championship
returns in 2025 from Wednesday 7 – Sunday 11 May. With many of the legends of yesteryear once again competing at the Crucible, Jimmy White and Ken Doherty will head a stellar field with Igor Figueiredo from Brazil as the defending Champion.
