The Leadmill, University of Sheffield and Yellow Bus Events are presenting Leadmill in the Square, a weekend of free, outdoor live music performances on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 August taking place in Tudor Square as part of Sheffield’s Summer in the Outdoor City programme.
Following on from the huge success of our Together in the Square event at the end of June, there will be a mixture of live music taking place over the course of the weekend, with events running from 12pm – 8pm on Saturday 7 and 12pm – 4pm on Sunday 8 August.
The Leadmill have programmed back-to-back performances, with artists performing across the weekend including:
Saturday 7 August
1pm – Vocalist, songwriter and musician Nørskov
2:50pm – Singer-songwriter Nat Short
4:40pm – 17 year-old singer-songwriter Daisy Peacock
5:50pm – Acoustic guitarist and vocalist Jacob Oldroyd
7pm – Tom Hardwick presents The Beat Club DJ set
Sunday 8 August
12:45pm – Alternative-pop girl band Potpourri
2pm – Lo-fi pop band Shelley Byron & The Poison Sleep
3pm – Retro-pop band Minds Idle
The music performances will be interlinked by a variety of street artist performances including Rimski & Handkerchief, Team Beegee, Elton Wrong and Val & Halla.
All acts at Leadmill in the Square are free to watch. You’ll be able to grab a seat either on deck chairs or communal bench seating and drinks will be available to purchase from Crucible Corner.
