Sheffield Theatres has announced the cast for its Christmas musical spectacular of Guys and Dolls in the Crucible from Saturday 7 December – Saturday 18 January.
It’s time to roll the dice and fall in love under the bright lights of New York city! To settle a bet, high roller Sky Masterson pursues straight-laced Sergeant Sarah Brown, only to fall head over heels for his unlikely love. This spectacular musical comedy is a high energy riot of breathtaking dance and features all-time favourites Luck be a Lady, Guys and Dolls and the irresistible Sit Down, You’re Rocking the Boat.
Sheffield Theatres Artistic Director Robert Hastie (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) directs: Kadiff Kirwan (Chewing Gum) as Sky Masterson, Martin Marquez (Hotel Babylon) as Nathan Detroit, Natalie Casey (Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps) as Miss Adelaide and Alex Young (Anything Goes, Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as Sgt Sarah Brown. The cast is completed by Darragh Cowley (Standing at the Sky’s Edge) as L.T Brannigan, Dafydd Emyr (Kiss Me, Kate) as Big Jule, Jacob Fisher (Tonight at the Palladium) as Harry the Horse, Adrian Hansel (FAME the Musical) as Benny Southstreet, Dawn Hope (Coronation Street) as General Cartwright, TJ Lloyd (Bananaman the Musical) as Nicely Nicely Johnson, Matthew Malthouse (Annie Get Your Gun) as Rusty Charlie, Ross McLaren (Kiss Me, Kate) as Angie the Ox and Garry Robson (The Who’s Tommy) as Arvide Abernathy. The ensemble is completed by Shaquille Brush (Dirty Dancing, UK Tour), Frances Camier, Charlotte Coggin (Grease - UK Tour), Adam Denman (42nd Street), Emily Dunn (Mamma Mia) Samantha Hull (The Wizard of Oz), Tash Holway (Kiss Me, Kate), Kate Playdon (The Greatest Showman) and Anthony Starr (Starlight Express).
Guys and Dolls features choreography from Strictly Come Dancing’sMatt Flint (also Kiss Me, Kate) and is designed by Janet Bird (The Wizard of Oz).
