We cheered on broadcaster and Sheffielder Dan Walker at the Crucible last week, during a pit stop in his hometown on his epic Coast to Coast cycle challenge.
He stopped off on his journey, peddling 200 miles from Withernsea to Liverpool in two days. Sheffield marked the half-way point, where he was welcomed on Tudor Square by rapturous applause, a live performance from the Steel City Choristers, and a wagging tail from his dog, Winnie.

On Friday morning, Dan presented his Breakfast show on Classic FM, before setting off from Sheffield for the second leg of the journey, through the Peak District and on to the west coast of the North.
His challenge raises money for charity Global’s Make Some Noise. Find out more about his journey at the Classic FM website.
