We’ve two exciting opportunities for local creatives to develop their talent with us. As part of our offer For Artists, we’re currently recruiting for two new participants to benefit from two of our schemes in 2025.
MAKING ROOM OBSERVER
We are looking for a Making Room Observer [link] to join the company of A Streetcar Named Desire throughout rehearsals, ahead of the show opening in the Crucible from Saturday 1 – Saturday 29 March 2025.
Making Room Observer opportunities are for aspiring and early-career theatre creatives based locally to Sheffield Theatres who want to familiarise with professional rehearsal practice.
Making Room Observers will observe one day each week of rehearsal, and a day of technical rehearsal. Applications are open now and close on Sunday 1 December 2024.
ROLLING RESIDENCY WINDOW
We are also looking for artists to take part in the Rolling Residency programme.
The Rolling Residencies are for theatre creatives based locally to Sheffield Theatres who would benefit from space and funding in the development of a project or idea.
We are interested in ambitious and exciting projects and ideas at any stage of development. This programme is about giving artists the resources they need to reach the next stage of their project. This “next stage” might be the creation of a new draft of a script, space to experiment with new collaborators, or an R&D for a more developed project.
There will be application windows to apply throughout the year, with the next window open now and closing on Friday 10 January 2025
