Here is the cast for Robert Hastie’s new production ofCoriolanus. The production follows his critically acclaimed productions of Julius Caesar and A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Celebrated super soldier Coriolanus is propelled to power, only to lose the trust of the people. Torn down from his pedestal, banished at the height of his fury, he unites with an old enemy to bring down the city he once fought for.
Joining previously announced cast member Tom Bateman (Da Vinci's Demons) as Coriolanus are: Hermon Berhane (Cuttin’ It) as Virgilia, Mudassar Dar (Frost/Nixon) as Citizen/Ensemble, Stella Gonet (The House of Eliott) as Volumnia, Esther McAuley (The Moustetrap) as Valeria, Remmie Milner (Chicken Soup) as Sicinius, Theo Ogundipe (Desire Under the Elms) as Aufidius, Louis J Rhone (Lives In Art) as Citizen, Eddie-Joe Robinson (Emmerdale) as Cotus, Kate Rutter (I, Daniel Blake) as Citizen, Malcolm Sinclair (Privates on Parade) as Menenius, Katy Stephens (As You Like It, RSC) as Cominius, Ben Wiggins (Anna and the Apocalypse) as Titus Lartius, and Alex Young (Standing at the Sky's Edge) as Brutus.
The company is completed by members of Sheffield People’s Theatre, Sheffield Theatres’ inter-generational theatre company, and the show will be designed by Ben Stones (Julius Caesar).
