Backstage Tours
Come and explore backstage at Sheffield Theatres. Meet the expert theatre makers in costume and set design. See theatre technicians in action and unleash your imagination as you take the stage.
Tours are subject to availability. If you would like to extend your experience, please contact us to arrange linking your tour with seeing a specific theatre show or interviewing a member of our team in a specific production role.

Theatre Reviewers Workshop
Bring your class on a tour of the theatre to explore the set of your booked show in advance watching the performance.
This is an opportunity for your students to focus on the performance or production elements needed for supporting their wider understanding of exam questions.
Workshops are subject to availability before a matinee or evening performance.
Ideal for: GCSE/A-Level Drama and BTEC Performing/Production Arts students analysing or reviewing live theatre
Duration: 1 - 1.5 Hour, takes place before a production
Cost: £175 + VAT
Size: 30 Young People/ 1 class
Age Suitability: ages 14 and above
Location: Sheffield Theatres
Masterclass
Masterclasses aim to offer students an in-depth practical experience in specific theatre skills from leading experts at Sheffield Theatres. These masterclasses can focus on curriculum texts, module components or school productions to best support teachers and students.
A masterclass can be a half or full day experience, choose one option for a half day experience and up to two for a full day.
Production focused options (delivered at Sheffield Theatres):
- Lighting and Sound
- Prop making and Special Effects
- Costume and Set Design
Performance focused options (delivered at Sheffield Theatres or in School):
- Stage Combat and Fight Chorography
- Directing and Writing Script Skills
- Voice and Movement
Duration: Full Day (4 Hours/Lessons) or Half Day (2 Hours/Lessons)
Cost: £500 + VAT (Full Day) £300 + VAT (Half Day)
Size: 30 Young People
Time: Masterclasses are subject to availability and booked through the Learning Coordinator, Sam Erskine

Education Tickets
Show tickets are £12 for full-time education groups of 10 or more, with one free supervisory ticket for every 10 tickets bought. Available on selected performances.
