We’re the world-famous Crucible, a Sheffield landmark with a distinctive stage and a reputation for unforgettable productions. We’re the Playhouse, an intimate, versatile space for getting even closer to the action. We’re the beautiful Lyceum, the gleaming traditional proscenium arch theatre that hosts the best of the UK’s touring shows.

Crucible

This famous modern theatre is home to world-class productions, made right here in Sheffield. The epic stage is surrounded by seats on three sides, meaning you’re never more than 20 metres from the action. A melting pot for stories old and new; be captivated by a classic drama or amongst the first to witness the next big thing. High drama or high kicks, it’s an experience like no other.

Lyceum

With over a hundred years of history, this magnificent theatre provides an ornate backdrop to the very best of the West End and a window on the world. Variety is the spice of life and here we have it all – musicals and drama, comedy and dance, the hot ticket and the family favourite. Join us for a musical megamix, a blast from the past, a thrill, a laugh – a great night out.

Playhouse

The versatile Tanya Moiseiwitsch Playhouse is a box of surprises. Formally known as The Studio, this miniature marvel flexes from 100 to 400 seats and welcomes top treats from the fringe, local heroes and new treasures. We stage our Sheffield-made productions here too. Intimate, but never small scale, the space is completely transformed for each show. You’ll never see this magical theatre look the same way twice.
