Music in the Round

On Fire!

Children’s Composer Paul Rissmann, workshop leader Polly Ives, professional musicians Ensemble 360 and children from Phillimore and Nether Green Junior Schools will perform a new piece of music inspired by the Olympic Torch.

The children have created their music after exploring the history, geography and science behind the torch and will perform it alongside music by other composers including Handel and Stravinsky.

Funded by Sheffield City Council, Mayfield Valley Arts Trust and the Lindsay Foundation.

Studio

Located within the Crucible building, the Studio Theatre has a flexible design allowing the seating to be adjusted to play on one, two or three sides or in the round. Seating in the Studio is unreserved.
The Studio hosts a mix of small-scale in-house and touring productions, as well as hosting the acclaimed Ensemble 360's tri-annual Music in the Round Festival.
